About the Song…
“Your Trip around the Sun” (The NEW Birthday Song) was written and composed in 1997 by James Murray.
It was first recorded in Athens Ohio by the world-famous Lark String Quartet and the Ohio University Choral Singers.
In the fall of 1997, The Local Girls vocal trio (Athens residents Mimi Hart, Gay Dalzell, and Brenda Catania) along with the Ohio University String Quartet were invited to Washington DC to perform the premiere of the song at Hillary Clinton’s 50th birthday celebration.
